Six vacancies to be filled in 2013 Election. The Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine will be informed of the results of the election and will make appointments to the Veterinary Council under Section 16 (1)(h) and Section 16 (1)(i)of the Veterinary Practice Act 2005 and the Veterinary Practice (Amendment) Act 2012. Election Timetable 2013
The term of office of six elected members of Council ends on 31 December 2013. An election will be held to elect 5 registered veterinary practitioners and 1 registered veterinary nurse to be chosen for appointment to the Council under Section 16 (1) (h) of the Veterinary Practice Act 2005.
There will be a significant change to the membership of the Council as many Members have completed their two terms of office, each of four years duration. Freeman Memorial Medal
Congratulations to Mr Myles McKenna MVB who was awarded the Freeman Memorial Medal at the UCD Graduation Ceremony on 17 June 2013.

Your ethical dilemmas are welcome for her consideration.
Summaries of the proceedings of all Council meetings held from 2013 onwards will be available on the Council's website.
