The Veterinary Council of Ireland are recruiting for a Committee Secretary.
The Veterinary Council of Ireland is a statutory body established under the aegis of the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine. The principal function of the Council is to regulate and manage the practice of veterinary medicine and veterinary nursing in the public interest and in the interest of animal welfare.
This appointment provides general secretarial support to the Council’s Preliminary Investigation and Fitness to Practise Committees. Reporting to the Head of Legal Affairs, the Secretary must help ensure that the Council meets its regulatory objectives; this will require that the Secretary develop an understanding of the activities of the Council, see that proper procedures are adhered to and carry out necessary follow-up actions. Candidates must have relevant administrative experience and be able to demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills.
