The Veterinary Practice Act 2005 (“the Act”), as amended, is the legal framework for dealing with applications for inquiries in respect of registered persons. The Act provides that any person may apply to the Registrar for an inquiry into the fitness to practise veterinary medicine / nursing of a registered person.
The jurisdiction of the Veterinary Council to investigate concerns against a registered person can only commence once we receive a signed complaints form. You will therefore need to print out and complete an Application for an Inquiry form, which is available to download below) if you would like to proceed with making a complaint.
